Meet Our Educator
Miss Kate Tivey
She/her
Kate is a qualified primary school teacher and professional educator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Primary Education from Notre Dame University.
Kate is extremely passionate about building young people’s confidence and competence, her special interest lies in the foundations of mathematics. She has a wealth of knowledge from her experiences teaching at schools across Western Sydney and the Northern Beaches. Kate's fondest memories come from teaching in a support unit consisting of young autistic boys.
Kate has invaluable lived experience as a neurodivergent individual who was diagnosed late in life, towards the end of her academic schooling years. As a result, she understands the significant and negative impact that standard education and tutoring can have on some young people and their families. Kate considers her neurodivergence a personal and professional asset. Her unique perspective enables her to create a safe and supportive environment for young people to learn and thrive.
Kate is able to provide support to individuals of any skill level between ages 6 to 16 years old.
